Blood donation & health camp

The club organized a blood donation camp at tummukunta village on march 1st in the morning. A health check up camp was also organized on the day. Total of 76 units of blood units were collected by NTR blood bank. 79 senior citizens were screened. The program was jointly organized by vivekananda society & lions club of balanagar. The project chairman is vn.KCGF Bejugam Hanumantha Rao.

Donations to adopted school

We have donated 2 ceiling fans to our adopted school virajananda high school on the occasion of their school day celebrations. Once again it was informed to the students about the scholarship to meritorious students.

Vasantha Panchami

The club members performed pooja at Sri Saraswathi Devi Temple, Musheerabad on the occassion of Vasanth Panchami.  The members have performed special pooja and distributed note books, pencils, pens and slates to the children who visited the temple. The members attended with the spouces and took the blessings of the Goddess.  The Project Chairman Vn.Bejugam Suresh

Vasavi Uchitha Biyyam Pampini Pathakam & Cheyuutha Pension Scheme

We have distributed 10 kgs of Rice to 20 poor vysya families, the monthly program of the club at Sri Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple.  The donor of the month program is Pippala Ashok Kumar.  We have also handed over Rs.200/- to 12 senior citizen towards monthly pension on the same day at the same venue.  The donor of the month is Pippala Vishweshwer Rao.  The both programs are a monthly service activity.  We have increased the number of beneficiaries of Rice scheme to 20 members from this month.  The project Chairmen are Mydam Yadagiri and Jonnala Naveen. 

Vasavi Aathmarpana Dinothsavam

The Club members have participated in good number in the pooja program on Saturday, 5th January, 2011 at Sri Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple, Avulamanda, Secunderabad on the occassion of Sri Vasavi Maatha Aathmarpana Dhinam.  They recited in chorus the Lalitha Sahasranamalu in chorus.  On the occassion the club donated a Computer to a Btech student for his higher studies.  The computer was donated by Bejugam Venkaiah and Bejugam Sarojini Memorable trust.  The members also donated blood on the occassion.  14 units of blood was collected.  Members and their spouce have come forward to donate the blood.  The project chairman was Nallaballi Srinivas.

Gandhiji Vardhanthi

Mahathma Gandhiji Vardhanthi was observed on 30th January, 2011 at 9 am at MG Road, Secunderabad.  The members payed floral tributes to the Father of the Nation. The members observed one minute silence on the occassion.  Vn.KCGF Vankamamidi Rajender and Vn.KCGF Batchu Mahes, Deputy Governor also joined the members in the program.  All the members spent some time at the place during the prayers.

Republic day

We Celebrated the Republic Day at our adopted school Virajannanda High School, on 26th January, 2011.  The National flag was hoisted by the club president Bejugam Rajeshwer Rao.  The Students of the school performed athelete feats and yoga.  Meritorious students of all classes were recognised with a memento.  The club also handed over indoor games for the girl students.  The President also announced to adopt one meritorious economically back ward class student of each class for the entire year.  The prizes was sponsored by Bejugam Hanumantha Rao and the project chairman was Vudutha Narasimhulu.
